Internet marketing campaigns 'need to be part of an overall plan'
Tuesday, 18 November 2008Internet marketing should not be looked at as a short-term solution and needs to be part of an overall online strategy in order to properly succeed, according to one expert.
Miguel Todaro, who this week presented his new book Internet Marketing Methods Revealed, claimed that simply focusing on one area - such as search engine optimisation - for a short period of time will not prove particularly effective.
Instead businesses need to take a long-term approach and use several forms of internet advertising, including email marketing, banner advertising, online permission marketing and pay per click, together in order to get the best results.
"Internet marketing really works as long as is part of a overall online marketing plan, developed with strong metrics and parameters," he remarked.
According to Mr Todaro's website, he is currently working on two other books in relation to the effectiveness of executive presentation and open source marketing.
