"Quick wins" possible through digital marketing
Wednesday, 26 March 2008Identifying "quick win" tactics is one way to rapidly improve a firm's digital marketing strategy, it has been claimed.
Dave Chaffey, online marketing commentator, suggested in his E-consultancy blog that one way for firms to improve customer acquisition could be to implement procedures which offer fast results.
He highlighted search engine marketing, Affiliate marketing and aggregators as short-term tactics which could have rapidly-apparent benefits.
Once that has been achieved, businesses should consider their retention and growth - perhaps attracting repeat visitors through email marketing, Mr Chaffey continued.
He added that it is also important for a firm's senior management to be committed to the development of marketing through online platforms and suggested promoters educate their bosses in why such tactics are useful.
Recently, search engine optimisation expert Lee Odden wrote in his online marketing journal that publishing a corporate blog could search as a platform for search engine optimisation, email marketing and public relations.
