Affiliate marketing 'offers benefits for all'
Friday, 14 March 2008Affiliate marketing has been a boon to many because it allows ordinary people with little previous experience the chance to grow a business on the internet.
So claims the American Chronicle, which describes Affiliate marketing as the easiest way of getting a business underway, whether through marketing one's own product or service, creating advertising sites or selling on products and services provided by others.
The advantages of the model as a means of achieving data capture or another online marketing endpoint is that the affiliate infrastructures allow for easy expansion, while the variations on the marketing style are many.
"Many people are turning to blogs as their first steps into having their own site. Some [create] blogs as their main sites," the news provider gives as one example.
Meanwhile, AOL may be recognising the Affiliate marketing potential of social networking sites given its acquisition of Bebo this week for $420 million (£210 million).
