Festive email campaigns 'can work in B2B sector'
Friday, 31 October 2008Christmas-themed email marketing campaigns can be useful for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer sales operations, according to one expert.
Speaking to BtoBonline.com, Huw Griffiths of Campaigner said that B2B organisations can make the most of email by using the medium to please existing customers by sending thank you and season's greetings messages.
Using email to advertise promotions ending on December 31st can also help to increase purchases among companies who need to use up their budgets by this date, he said.
Emails offering an update on the company's activities throughout 2008 can additionally be useful by directing recipients to the organisation's blog or other social media sites.
"It's a great way to point people in the direction and create trust," Mr Griffiths explained.
This follows a recent post by Jordan Ayan on the Email Insider blog suggesting that companies integrate their digital marketing campaigns by using social media to drive traffic to websites and email newsletters published online.
