Ian Boichat - Managing Director |
 | After completing his marketing degree Ian eventually ended up in direct marketing by accident (is there any other way?) Now over 15 years later he's still there driving forward online direct marketing. Ian embraced the internet back in the heady days of the dot com boom as Head of E-commerce for Experian before going on to found Ventura Media which became the 5th largest list broking company in the UK. Moving back into the online arena as Commercial Director for DLG Ian focused on driving forward their online division with a passion that he brings to Digital Response Media.
Outside of work most of his time is spent with his family (if you look carefully you might even spot his daughter on this site) and his Bernese dog. Ian does find the time to take the odd photograph, loves skiing, and recently completed a triathlon. He loves anything technical and is currently spending too much time playing with his new iPhone. |
Saul Goldenstein - Sales Director |
 | After doing some extras work in the film ‘Judge Dredd’, Saul completed his degree in Accounting & Finance, majoring in marketing & corporate strategy and fell into sales in his effort to get into marketing. After a few years in advertising and recruitment, Saul discovered (quite by mistake) the DM industry. Originally with Consumer Surveys, Saul was headhunted within his first year to join DLG as employee number five. He was instrumental in helping grow the business to 600 employees, as sales manager and the groups top salesperson. In 2004, Saul set up the sponsorship division of DLG in his role of sponsorship director. The division grew substantially, offering bespoke data, premium leads and sponsorship solutions, across multi-channels (mail, internet, warranty cards and telephone).
When he’s not helping companies acquire customers, Saul loves adrenaline sports like shark diving and has even jumped the largest bungie in the world at 217 metres off a suspension bridge (rather him than us!). A keen football supporter, who enjoys training in the gym in his efforts to become a better boxer, Saul enjoys tennis and swimming and is hoping one day to put together a decent round of golf! |
Maric Gregory - Technical Director |
 | Maric has always loved futuristic technology and brings things such as SETI inspired grid computing, super fast binary count engines and neural nets to the company which are being implemented into our core systems to deliver exceptional power and performance. Using cutting edge technology allows very competitive SLA’s and operational capabilities which is something Maric learned in his previous role where he developed the largest lifestyle database in the UK – this was terabytes in size and one of the largest SQL on Windows databases in the world according to the Winter Corporation VLDB survey!
Outside of the office, Maric plays synths, guitar, drums and violin; he is very much into sound design and is signed to a label under the name [distatix] with an industrial techno album coming out at the beginning of 2008. As well as travelling to various parties around Europe, Maric also enjoys cooking, skiing and fine wines. |
Nuhar Manuel - Web Development Manager |
 | After three years of medical school followed by another three in an accounting degree, Nuhar ended the last millenium by eventually discovering her niche in web development. (It's always the last place you look!). Her first programming position led her to the exciting field of ecommerce for a leading music retailer in beautiful Cape Town (where she was born and bred). We're also told that she too has had her 5 minutes of fame on a South African gameshow, and we are absolutely sure it has nothing to do with her being in the UK now. Looking for new adventures, she landed on British soil in 2004 and has been in the direct marketing industry ever since. She, unfortunately, has also been in Watford ever since.
Outside the office, she spends as much time as she can avoiding the gym (no easy feat by any measure) and listening to drum and bass. |
